Saint Louis University’s Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship within the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business helps entrepreneurs combine their passion with business skills to produce high-performing organizations. Our mission is to deliver and develop world-class entrepreneurship education for all.

About the Center

Founded in 1987, the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship is known for its innovative approach to entrepreneurship. We have been a national leader in developing and delivering innovative high school, college and community programs to promote entrepreneurship through education. Our nationally ranked programs promote economic growth by encompassing passion, compassion, planning and performance.

High School Programs

At Saint Louis University, we believe one of the best ways for students to develop a real-world orientation and gain traction for their ideas in the real world is through competition. Of course, feedback and prize money don’t hurt, either.

The Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship offers programs for aspiring high school entrepreneurs to introduce them to the world of start-ups and help turn their ideas into action. Offered through the Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship, these programs develop opportunities to network with business owners, workshops on concept development and innovations and information on how to prepare for a career in building your own business.

This includes opportunities to network with business owners and win cash prizes. SLU’s Entrepreneurship Club is a campuswide student group supporting entrepreneurship. It is dedicated to introducing, engaging and inspiring student entrepreneurs to create a better world.

Community

The Chaifetz Center for Entrepreneurship connects entrepreneurs through networking, peer mentoring and other resources to help develop a successful business. The talents of classic entrepreneurs can benefit big corporations, nonprofits and even government. At Saint Louis University, we teach our students that entrepreneurship can occur in corporate, social and independent ventures.

Our programs are based on partnerships between the center and interested community members. Entrepreneurs and those who support entrepreneurship have contributed their time, insights and financial support to help us deliver an unprecedented range and quality of programs.

The Institute for Private Business helps owners of family-owned and other private businesses, and key executives, to resolve critical issues, shape the future growth of their businesses and power the future of the St. Louis region. This is accomplished through a membership network that combines Saint Louis University’s nationally ranked entrepreneurship program with a confidential peer environment and outside industry experience.
