Transforming the STEM Community One Mind at a Time

Saint Louis University's Institute for STEM Collaboration, Outreach, Research, and Education (iSCORE) was founded in 2022 with the purpose of transforming the STEM community one mind at a time. 

We are broadening the STEM ecosystem in an effort to forward SLU's transformative vision to foster growth, inspire innovation, and advance initiatives that serve a higher purpose and a greater good.

STEM Camps

Select Saturdays and Summer

  • Fun, exciting, engaging, high-quality STEM learning experiences for students in grades PreK-12.
  • Fosters students' interests in STEM careers, STEM literacy development, and sense of belonging in STEM. Broaden the STEM ecosystem locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

STEM Research

Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed-Methods

  • Pilot, small-scale, large-scale, and longitudinal studies on STEM programs and STEM learning experiences.
  • Conduct external evaluations on STEM programs and projects.

Professional Development

Content and Integrated STEM

  • Provide content and integrated STEM professional development to PreK through 12th-grade teachers in mathematics and science.
  • Professional development and pedagogical workshops for industry partners to effectively engage students in STEM learning.

Our Mission

Our mission is to develop an individual’s STEM literacy, STEM sense of belonging, STEM identity, awareness of and interest in STEM communities and careers.

Our Vision

Our vision is to provide access and opportunity to preschool, elementary, middle, high school, and postsecondary students and broaden the STEM ecosystem locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
