Practice Areas

Bartlett is a human rights attorney. Bartlett has experience litigating in state and federal court in Louisiana and Ohio, as well as filing complaints and petitions with U.N. Treaty Bodies and Special Procedures, and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.

Research Interests

Ms. Bartlett鈥檚 scholarship focuses on the intersections between legal ethics, access to justice, and human rights.

In 2021, Bartlett was elected co-president of the Clinical Legal Education Association.

Community Work and Service

A former legal aid attorney, Bartlett has focused her career on providing access to justice for all and protecting the rights of the poorest of the poor in the U.S.

Bartlett previously served as the Director of Legal Clinics and Associate Professor of Law at Ohio Northern University College of Law. Bartlett has also taught at American University Washington College of Law and Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Before obtaining her law degree, Ms. Bartlett worked with nonprofit organizations in California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nepal, Ghana, Bangladesh and India, alongside advocates fighting for social and environmental justice.
