Her co-authored chapter entitled 鈥淒eveloping Standards for Gender-Responsive Human Rights Due Diligence鈥 appears in this volume.
Human rights due diligence (HRDD) has emerged as a mainstay of corporate social responsibility.
Following from the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights,
which allocate to businesses the duty to respect human rights in their operations,
HRDD is the primary process for companies to 鈥渒now and show鈥 their responsibility
to fulfill that duty.
This book explores the key components and requirements of the HRDD process, considering
its practical implementation into corporate practices and policies and treating key
topics and cross-cutting issues.
