Day Without Art
December 1, 1994
MOCRA observes , a national day of action and mourning in response to the AIDS crisis. Day With(out) Art has been observed by galleries and museums annually since 1989 on December 1, World AIDS Day, in recognition of the striking impact of HIV/AIDS on the creative community.
This year, in the context of the first national group exhibition that explores AIDS within a spiritual framework, members of the St. Louis creative community gather to pay tribute to those who are living with, and who have died from, HIV/AIDS.
Performers include members of Burning Feet Dance Company, the Ambassadors of the Gateway Men's Chorus, and members of the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and Saint Louis Symphony Chorus.
We warmly welcome the whole St. Louis community to participate in this evening of remembrance.
Day Without Art is made possible with financial support from the .
