Description:
Earth, Wind, and Water is a camp for high school students that focuses on learning some of the basics of Meteorology and Environmental Science! Campers will participate in numerous events and classes led by current SLU students and professors, as well as presentations and demonstrations from professionals in the National Weather Service and the WATER Institute. No prior knowledge of any topics is required–this is a great opportunity for campers to have an introduction to Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and to learn more in-depth for those who already have some knowledge! Campers will take part in a multitude of activities, including but not limited to water analysis, weather forecasting, and environmental analysis tools. Attendees will also visit the St. Louis Science Center and analyze real-life data from a weather balloon that they get to help launch! This is a residential/overnight program where attendees will stay on the campus of Saint Louis University.
