As a STEM major at SLU, you'll have plenty of opportunities to practice the skills you learn, starting your freshman year. Whether that means using Python, C/C++, Java and Eclipse on our department systems or using virtual reality to control drones used in research, your professors will not only embrace technology — they're helping invent it.
Past STEM students at SLU have worked alongside faculty researchers on single X-ray photo detectors, designed a chemical vapor deposition system for synthesis of nanoscale carbon materials and built and designed small satellites launched by NASA.
Many of SLU's STEM majors offer accelerated degree options that allow you to pursue a minor, major and even a master's degree from day one.
