Alpha Omega Alpha (AΏA) Medical Society inducts newest members at SLU
Saint Louis University School of Medicine announced the induction of 57 new members into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AΏA) Honor Medical Society for its Class of 2025.
AΏA, the prestigious national medical society, recognizes individuals for their dedication to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research and community service.
“The 2025 inductees are a group of individuals who distinguished themselves as future and current leaders in health care and have been elected not only for their academic performance, but also for their leadership among their peers, professionalism, and commitment to service,” said Adam Merando, M.D., associate professor of internal medicine and co-councilor for AΏA Saint Louis University.
The new inductees, comprising nine faculty members, 13 fellows and residents, and 35 students, were celebrated at a ceremony held in September.

About Alpha Omega Alpha

Alpha Omega Alpha supports 13 fellowships, grants, programs, and awards for medical students and physicians at its 132 chapters, and publishes a quarterly peer-reviewed, medical humanities journal, "The Pharos," which contains articles on nontechnical medical subjects, including history, ethics, national issues, personal essays and poetry. Alpha Omega Alpha is a leading advocate for scholarly attainment and moral purpose in medicine.
