05/20/24- Saint Louis University recently named Laura S. Kaiser, FACHE ('82, '85) as an Alumni Merit Award winner. Having earned master鈥檚 degrees in business administration and health care administration from Saint Louis University, Kaiser is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been named one of the 鈥100 Most Influential People in Healthcare鈥 by Modern Healthcare magazine for the past six years.
05/08/24- Ellen Barnidge, Ph.D., Professor, Behavioral Science and Health Equity was one of the five women selected to receive the award. At the ceremony, the 2024 Mary A. Bruemmer Award Honorees were recognized and celebrated. The Women鈥檚 Commission has recognized outstanding women with its Women of the Year honors since 1977. The awards are named after the inaugural winner, Mary Bruemmer.
05/07/24- The 17th annual Senior Legacy Symposium took place on Tuesday, April 30, in the Busch Student Center. This event featured the work of more than 200 students and over 50 academic departments and programs. CPHSJ students featured included Thejasvi Dhanireddy, Christopher Hopwood, Avi Bhavsar, Jacob Tan, Karina Konshin, Spencer Shreve, Aarti Sahai, Arjun Sahai, and Lily Wilkins.
04/29/24- Beginning with the Fall 2024 term, Saint Louis University鈥檚 MPH Program will require just 42 credit hours to complete rather than the current requirement of 48 (or 54 for joint concentrations).

03/20/24- The College for Public Health and Social Justice's Ellen Barnidge, Ph.D., Professor, Behavioral Science and Health Equity was named a 2024 honoree. The Women鈥檚 Commission will host the 47th annual Mary A. Bruemmer Recognition Ceremony and Luncheon on Monday, May 6, in the Wool Ballroom of Busch Student Center.

03/15/24- Dr. Enbal Shacham is a researcher at the forefront of geospatial health, which uses geospatial data and technology to bring new insight to public health challenges and design innovative interventions. By advancing research initiatives that span academic disciplines and sites around the globe, Shacham is improving health equity for all.
03/08/24- Kimberly R. Enard, PhD, MSHA, MBA, FACHE, associate professor in the College for Public Health and Social Justice (CPHSJ) at Saint Louis University, made history when she was named the 2024 John D. Thompson Prize Recipient by the Association of University Programs for Health Administration for her excellence in health education and administration, becoming the first African-American and the first SLU faculty member to receive this award. AUPHA first began awarding the Thompson Prize in 1991.
02/28/24- March 2024 will be the third time that MPH student Kristin Beduhn spends her spring break in the small-mountain towns of West Virginia. Beduhn currently fulfills a role as a SLU Campus Ministry graduate assistant, but has previously attended the 鈥業mmersion Experience鈥 trip offered through the organization as an undergraduate student. She now supports other undergraduate students on the trip.
