Health and Wellness Benefits
Saint Louis University provides comprehensive health and wellness programs that support you and your family.
As a full-time faculty or staff member at Saint Louis University (working at least 32 hours a week) your health benefits include insurance options for medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment, and accidents. We also offer options for a Healthcare Saving Account (HSA), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA).
Your benefits elections are effective as of your first day in a full-time position, typically your hire date. You have 31 days to make your elections. After your initial 31-day enrollment period, the only time to make changes or enroll yourself or add a dependent to your plan is at open enrollment, or upon a qualifying life event such as birth, adoption, marriage or loss of coverage under a different plan. Open enrollment takes place every fall. Any open enrollment changes take effect on January 1.
