SLU Facilities Management
Saint Louis University's Department of Facilities Management provides stewardship of campus resources through an integrated approach to planning, thereby enhancing a physical environment that is sustainable and conducive to the diverse characteristics of the University's mission of teaching, research and community service.
In providing this service, we balance all aspects of facilities services, including program fulfillment, efficient use of physical and financial resources, attention to long and short-term maintenance and operational costs, quality of space and materials, compliance with life-safety codes, and adherence to established policies and guidelines.

Service Listing
Alarm Service/Repair
If you encounter an issue related to an alarm system, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 314-977-3000.
Electrical
If you encounter an electrical issue on campus, please . Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "Electrical," choosing which option is necessary: burning odor/smoke, general electrical, emergency/exit light repair/replacement, lighting issue, outlet repair/replacement or if you are experiencing a power outage.
Furniture Repair
If you are a resident and require assistance with furniture repair, . Select "Work Request for Student Housing/Res Life".
General Repair and Maintenance
Building maintenance is separated by zones. Please online or by contacting Facilities Management by phone at 314-977-2955 should any issue occur.
Heating and Cooling
If you require assistance with an HVAC system or are encountering an excessively hot or cold environment, online. Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning," and select "Maintenance-General," choosing which option is necessary: A/C window, heat-control knob repair/replacement, heat/AC excessive noise, heating and cooling - general, radiator/heater is leaking, too cold or too hot.

Keys/Locksmith
To request a new or replacement key, please contact your department administrator to complete an internal service delivery (ISD) which should be sent to maintenance. Please list the name of the person that the key will be assigned to, building and room number that the key will be used for in the memo box.

You will also need to with the name of the person the key is being assigned to with phone number, the room number it will be granting access to and stating that you have placed an internal service delivery request. Please note that key and core requests will not be issued without an ISD and service request.

Major Appliance Support
If you require assistance with appliance repair, . Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "General Maintenance," choose "Maintenance-General." Please then specify the broken equipment and the issue that it is having.
Painting Request
If you require assistance with painting, online. Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "General Maintenance," choose "Painting." Please then specify what type of repair is required and when the work needs to be completed. Damages and paint requests may be billed to requestor's department.
Pest Management (Interior)
If you require assistance with pest control inside a building, online. Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "Pest Control," choose either "insects extermination" or "mice extermination." Please then specify the situation and when the work needs to be completed.
Plumbing Repair
If you require assistance with plumbing, online. Select "Work Request for Maintenance Repair and Services," then "General Maintenance," choose "Plumbing." Select which option pertains to the issue you are experiencing: clogged drain, dishwasher, garbage disposal, leak, toilet is clogged or overflowing, washing machine or no hot/cold water available.

Sign Request
Before placing a request for signage on campus, please familiarize yourself with SLU's signage guidelines.
If facilities is listed is the primary contact for your interior or exterior sign, online. Select "Work Request for Sign and Machine Shop," then choose "Sign Request." Make sure to include all the necessary project information in the work order request, and you will be contacted to finalize the details. To ensure that requests are not lost, do not contact facilities with your request via phone or email. We do ask that only a service request be submitted with the necessary information.
